Smile

Recently my son sang I Smile by Kirk Franklin at church. The song stated, no matter your circumstance, regardless of what your going through, God is working on it, while he is working on it, smile.
Why should I smile if I’m going through a storm? A smile is good for ones soul…while you wait for Gods work to come full circle. A smile and the type of smile can say a lot about a person.
Smile in the midst of your storms.

Give yourself a reason for joy while in pain.
Fill your heart with positivity.

Greet others with a smile.
That smile you give someone could be a blessing to that person.
“I am blessed to be in your presence” is the message you give.

Prov. 15:30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
You can literally be of a blessing to someone with a simple smile. So smile. Make someone’s day and just smile. Fight adversity with a smile, show love with a smile.
A smile is like greeting someone with a kiss in the cheek.

2 Cor. 13:12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
A smile doesn’t cost you anything to give.

A smile isn’t painful.

A smile will give you a wonderful feeling from within.

A smile can connect you to the Holy Spirit and make a huge impact on your life.
“I almost gave up,

but a power that I can’t explain,

fell from heaven like a shower.(When I think how much better I’m gonna be when this is over)

I smile, even though I’m hurt see I smile,

I know God is working so I smile,
Even though I’ve been here for a while

I smile, smile…

.
it’s so hard to look up when you look down.

I sure would hate to see you give up now

You look so much better when you smile, so smile.” – Kirk Franklin
So smile .
Father, today we are seeing an increase of depression. Many families are under financial distress, many are facing emotional difficulties, many are battling illnesses, many have faced losses, many are feeling lonely. All these circumstances can lead one in a natural state in depression. Lord I ask you to cover anyone I know whom are in the midst of a depression storm. I pray that they can be guided the Holy Spirit to trust in you, to have faith in you. To be able to have the energy to put on a smile while they are facing their struggles. It’s not easy being in pain, struggling and being able to smile. It’s not easy, depending the severity of their trials. I ask you to give them the strength, the power and will to not only smile but face their adversary, depression. Trust in him dear reader. Have faith in him, smile, and if you know someone whom is suffering from depression, pray, reach out, show love and smile with them.

Amen
